COP - what's the point?

Does the Conference of the Parties (COP) have any relevance at all anymore in terms of addressing the impacts of climate change or working to keep us below 1.5 or 2 degrees warming? A bunch of people burning tonnes of carbon to meet up and… do what?

While here at home in NZ, people have to sue companies like Z to prove they’re dripping in greenwash.

We elect a government that wants to get back into oil and gas exploration.

This is a one way ticket to… well, you know where.

So what to do. Well, be the change we want to see, model model model. Ride the bus and bike, support and build neighbourhoods and local government….And while we’re at it, challenge our biggest emitters.
